In meeting modern demands and commanding wide-acclaim, the redevelopment and expansion of this site aim to improve accessibility and convenience. The Starwood Retail Partners drive is hinged on the unique strategy that a mesh of entertainment, office, and retail has a direct link with top-grade shopper experience.

The Shops at Willow Bend was sold off in October 2014, with the redesign beginning shortly after. After completion, the complex would wear a new look that would resonate with Plano’s growing population. Major additions to the complex include a main entrance facing the Dallas North Tollway. The aim is to communicate a sense of arrival to guests, shoppers, and diners. A major do-over is the replacement of the existing 125,000 square feet vacant building with a more modern structure aptly designed for premium retailers and restaurants. Other major additions include an office towel and a contemporary hotel.

According to the CEO of Starwood Retail Partners, Scott Wolstein, the unique approach employed by SRB reflects common perceptions throughout the country—citing consumers clamoring for a space to contain several conveniences, a synergy of sorts. With The Shops at Willow Bend, the SRP hopes to improve the shopping experience in Plano by providing a retail environment where shoppers can also relax, enjoy, and connect.
