Serving the affluent area of northwest Boston, Burlington Mall is located at the junction of I-95 and US 3. There are 185 specialty shops, and great dining facilities. Developed by Herbert H. Johnson Associates (architects) and Symmes, Main, and McKee Inc. (associate architects and engineers), Burlington Mall was purchase in 1920 by New York-based Bellwether Properties. Anchor stores are: Sears, Jordan Marsh, and Filene’s.
Originally there was a Stop & Shop supermarket, a two-screen cinema, and a food court called “Town Meeting”. Lord & Taylor added an addition to Burlington Mall in 1978. Ten years later a second story was added.
