Nordstrom, Inc., was founded by John W. Nordstrom and Carl F. Wallin. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, this American upscale fashion retailer began as a shoe retailer, and diversified to include clothing, accessories, handbags, jewelry, cosmetics, and fragrances. Some independent Nordstrom stores also carry wedding and home furnishing departments. Nordstrom’s have 271 stores in 36 states. Other stores in the Nordstrom line are Full-Line stores and 151 Nordstrom Racks.
